Episode 54: Growth vs. Hypocrisy

Apple Podcasts Google Podcasts

Dan opens up about the uncomfortable but brutally honest dialogue he’s been having internally. He talks about learning to be able to laugh at himself, friendships based on terms and conditions, and how people often hide behind who they want people to believe they are.

Dan explains how he’s conflicted between growth and being a hypocrite. A lot of the things Dan will not tolerate or finds reprehensible, he’s done before. Things like being judgemental, having a huge ego, lying, taking advantage of people, and being mentally/verbally abusive at times. How can you despise someone for doing some of the same things that you’ve done yourself? Does being ashamed of and finding these actions disgusting represent growth? Lastly, Dan shares why he keeps a comfortable distance from people that are close to him.
